Elizabeth Jones

Regulatory & Quality Assurance Manager

Elizabeth began her career in 2006 as a remote field technician in Labrador, conducting Environmental Assessments and small mammal studies along the QNSL railway for the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOCC).

Her passion for the sea that was not present in inland Labrador, brought her to the southern shore of New Brunswick in 2008, where she worked her way up the ladder of the Aquaculture Industry into Regulatory Compliance and Certification Manager with Admiral Fish Farms. The journey to get there took her through multiple technologically advanced hatcheries, open-ocean cage sites, research stations, and fish processing facilities housing Atlantic cod, Atlantic salmon and Halibut.

In 2014, Elizabeth switched gears from food health and safety, into pharmaceutical health and safety, when she became the Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager of Tidal Health Solutions, the 100th licensed producer for medical cannabis to be registered with Health Canada. At Tidal Health Solutions Elizabeth doubled as a medical assistant attending clinics and putting patients in touch with their medicine. On a quest to return to her roots in Newfoundland, Elizabeth took her new found love for the cannabis industry and expanded her knowledge to include recreational cannabis and the retail sector, which lead her to working with Highland Grow in Antigonish, NS, and consulting for BeeHighve Cannabis in Corner Brook, NL, before settling in at Atlantic Cultivation in 2020.
