What’s Happening Now

We are firing on all cylinders, growing amazing cannabis, creating new brands, launching new products, opening new stores and adding more and more people to our amazing team.

We have finished building a state-of-the-art 110,000 square foot production facility that will allow us to grow extraordinary hydroponic cannabis.

Alex Twells

CEO

Alex has a curious mind and a belief that companies are successful because they have solid strategy, leadership and a great team. For a quarter of a century he has helped companies across North America and Europe achieve success. He has also been successful at making his own moose pastrami.

Chris Crosbie

COO

Chris has first-hand experience in the cannabis industry having worked in the medical cannabis industry south of the border. More recently he has managed commercial and industrial buildings in the Oil and Gas industry. Fun fact: Chris was an accomplished martial artist and competed internationally.

Norman Williams

Norman Williams, CPA, CA

CFO

Norm is a CPA and CA and takes the financial helm for Atlantic. With experience in creating corporate success, including a start-up mining company, he looks forward to steering Atlantic’s growth in this new industry. An outdoor enthusiast and handyman, Norm is often found at the cabin or hiking with his family and dogs.

John Alexander, CPA, CA

Commercial Manager

John was hired out of university by PricewaterhouseCoopers to pursue his Chartered Accountancy Designation. Completing his articling term with Allen, Paquet and Arseneau, John was awarded the CICA Gold Medal for the top mark on the Uniform Evaluation in Eastern Canada.

In 2013, John went on to join the Listuguj Mi’gmaq Government as their Director of Finance. John was able to help transform the LMG from a First Nation nearing 3rd party management to one that was investing heavily into economic development in the area. In early 2017, John was performing the due diligence on a new Cannabis Company starting up on Listuguj territory and eventually joined their team as Divisional Manager.

During his time as Divisional Manager, John helped grow the Zenabis Global Atholville facility from 12 employees and 60,000 sq ft of licensed space to 400+ employees and 400,000 sq ft of production.

John joined Atlantic Cultivation as their Commercial Manager in early 2020. He is responsible for ACL’s sales and retail operations.

Nathan Woodworth

VP of Strategy and Innovation

Since joining ACL in late 2020, Nathan’s role has grown to address almost all aspects of ACL’s business operations. With an eye to enhancing efficiency through innovative strategic considerations, Nathan’s focus is to use his depth of experience in the cannabis industry to drive ACL toward future success.

Prior to joining ACL, Nathan founded James E. Wagner Cultivation, an Ontario based Licensed Producer. As CEO of JWC, Nathan achieved the 38th license issued by Health Canada, growing the company from its 5 founding members to employing over 180 people at 2 fully licensed premises. Operating a unique cultivation paradigm based on 4 patent pending technologies, JWC’s GRowthSTORM platform remains the largest aeroponic cannabis cultivation effort in the world.

Elizabeth Jones

Regulatory & Quality Assurance Manager

Elizabeth began her career in 2006 as a remote field technician in Labrador, conducting Environmental Assessments and small mammal studies along the QNSL railway for the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOCC).

Her passion for the sea that was not present in inland Labrador, brought her to the southern shore of New Brunswick in 2008, where she worked her way up the ladder of the Aquaculture Industry into Regulatory Compliance and Certification Manager with Admiral Fish Farms. The journey to get there took her through multiple technologically advanced hatcheries, open-ocean cage sites, research stations, and fish processing facilities housing Atlantic cod, Atlantic salmon and Halibut.

In 2014, Elizabeth switched gears from food health and safety, into pharmaceutical health and safety, when she became the Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager of Tidal Health Solutions, the 100th licensed producer for medical cannabis to be registered with Health Canada. At Tidal Health Solutions Elizabeth doubled as a medical assistant attending clinics and putting patients in touch with their medicine. On a quest to return to her roots in Newfoundland, Elizabeth took her new found love for the cannabis industry and expanded her knowledge to include recreational cannabis and the retail sector, which lead her to working with Highland Grow in Antigonish, NS, and consulting for BeeHighve Cannabis in Corner Brook, NL, before settling in at Atlantic Cultivation in 2020.

Laura Foster

Laura has been actively participating in the advancement of the Canadian Cannabis industry since 2008, and was a founding member of an early Licence recipient. She brings a wealth of expertise in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, with many years of hands on industry experience and achievements. Laura is passionate about cannabis and the industry, and also enjoys spending time with family, reading and cooking. Laura holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Waterloo and a Culinary Arts certification from George Brown College.
